Abstract

Philosophy literally means “Love of wisdom.” Wisdom is not mere knowledge, because one may have knowledge but he may not be wise, wisdom consists in knowledge plus the ability to utilise it properly in different life situations. Thus, philosophy gives man that wisdom with the help of which he understands the whole universe, its nature and purpose, its relation to himself and all the people around him. Philosophy means “mature reflection” about any problem about life and universe taken comprehensively in its complete perspective.
