In recent years, lot of work has been done in the field of inventory management. To provide an extensive review about the decaying items inventory optimization research status this paper outlines the recent studies in this field. Compared with the extent outlines this paper review the recent studies from a different point of view. The literature outline framework in this paper gives a clear overview of the decaying stock field with partial backlogging which can be used as a starting point for further study.
