Abstract

Modern Indian literature has described the single women, the divorce, the widows, the mad women the stigmatized women and the liberal women to great extent. Women who were marginalized in the society for centuries together, have been recognised in Indian fiction. The crown goes to Anita Desia who hasbring forth the pitiable condition of household women. This research paper gives insight into the character delineation of Anita Desai.
