A COMPRATIVE STUDY OF DELINQUENT IN RELATION TO THEIR ACADMEIC ACHIVEMENT AND SELF-CONCEPT

Abstract

This paper compares delinquent of Agra District (Uttar Pradesh) on their academic achievement and self-concept. Describe survey method was used to conduct the study. A sample of 100 delinquent(50 male and 50female) of Bal SudharGrih of Agra District was selected randomly from the population. Data was collected by using standardise tool by thedelinquent, were taken into consideration. Data was compared by using t test. Mean score of male delinquent on academic achievement was 340.38 with Standard Deviation 96.15 and Mean score of female delinquent on academic achievement was Standard Deviation 14.37 and Mean score of female delinquent on self-concept was 192.62 with academic achievement was 1.68** which is signification at the level of 0.01 level of significance and Difference of Mean sores between Male and Female delinquent on self-concept was 1.988*which was significant at 0.05 level of significance. Result reveal that female delinquent lend higher on academic achievement comparatively their male counterparts, meanwhile Male subject were higher on self-concept score than female subjects in the present study.
