Abstract

Stress is the process that involves the perception of a substantial imbalance between environmental demand and response capabilities of the individual. Tension and stress have become a normal part of every person’s life. Everyone has to deal with daily goals, deadlines, responsibilities, pressures, etc. However, it is not the stressor itself that creates the health hazard, but rather the individual’s response to it that may pose a health problem. Individuals who are under a lot of stress and cannot relax will experience a constant low-level strain on the cardiovascular system that could manifest itself in the form of heart disease.
