                                Abstract

Schiff base from salicyaldehyde and ethylene diamine(en) has beensynthesized and further complexed with Nickel(II) and Cobalt(II). The complexes were chartacterized by electronic, infrared (vibrational) spectroscopy and conductance meaurements. Further a single crystal X-ray diffraction pattern of Ni complex was analysed. The structures of these complexes were found to be square planar.
