Entrepreneurial talent exists in every society and in all sections of society but the difficulty is that this talent goes waste if not properly harnessed. In the context of India, the country has no dearth of knowledge and skills mainly among the educated youth but if their knowledge and energy is not channelized in a right direction then it leaves them frustrated and undermined. Not all persons can get employment under others but self employment is such a wonderful alternative of employment under others that it not only helps a person to show his abilities but also helps in further employment generation. Entrepreneurship development programmes act as a spark which motivates the persons to identify their latent entrepreneurial talents and help the potential entrepreneurs to show their worth to the world. The present paper focuses attention on such institutions which provide such EDPs.
