Collaboration between India and Japan in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a relatively new frontier to harness and exploit the potentials of India – Japan relationship to their mutual advantage. The Prime Ministers of the two countries addressed this during the visit of Prime Minister Mori to India in 2000, when the Joint Statement entitled ‘INDIA – JAPAN COLLABORATION FOR GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP’ was issued.
