Abstract

We examined whether exposure to bullying would predict low self-esteem in adolescents. An adolescent sample of 40 individuals between the age of 14-18years was used. The Victimization Scale (b7) from Measuring Bullying Victimization, Perpetration and Bystander Experiences: A Compendium of Assessment Tools and State Self-esteem Scale were used to measure the variables. An association was established between bullying and self-esteem using Pearson correlation. This was a quantitative correlational study.
