Abstract

Managing emotions by using emotional regulation strategies i.e. cognitive reappraisal/expressive suppression is an art/learned behaviour. Use of these behaviours are inter-related with the use of ego defense mechanisms. A quantitative research approach & non-experimental descriptive survey design was used to assess emotional regulation strategies, ego defense mechanisms. Data was collected from a sample of 400 students of DMCH College of Nursing, Malakpur, Ludhiana by using non probability consecutive sampling technique.
