Abstract

The concept of informal sector was the main subject in 1991 at the International Labour Conference. There is a mean wage variance with respect to informal and formal workers. The informal workers use limited tools due to low incomes and they also fear about confiscation and theft. The study stresses the point that the concerned authorities must improve the social security, working conditions, job security and earnings of the informal workers as they constitute a major share in the labour market.
