Abstract

Agriculture is included in the Seventh Schedule of the Constitution , and the central government issued the modeling of farming laws in 2017 to make necessary changes in the agricultural sector. There were an indication of several reforms in the model acts, but the states could not implement the same. In the first week of June 2020, the center issued three ordinances where farmers in Punjab, Haryana, and other states were seen to protest the legislation once they were given assent.
