Abstract

The government of India announced year 2021-22 as 75 Years of Indian Independence. A lot of government activities were dedicated to year long celebrations of Azadi ka Amrit Mahaotsav. Anti colonial struggle finds special place in the history of Punjab. Pattabhi Sitaramayya, author of 'The History of the Indian National Congress' particularly acknowledged the role of Punjab and Sikhs in freedom struggle. This paper is an attempt at mapping all the major places associated with the freedom struggle in Punjab.
