TOURISM DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING STRATEGIES IN MYSORE DIVISION: AN EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract

The role played by the tourism marketing mix that brings the customers or tourists to the destination tourism market is determined primarily by tourism demand and tourism offers. With the help of the traditional marketing mix elements and other subsidiary elements: People, Process, Pre-Empting, and Permeate, this study analyzed the data collected through primary sources and assessed the influence of traditional marketing mix elements and other subsidiary elements on the development of tourism in Mysore Division. The study found that the conventional marketing mix strategies and subsidiary elements significantly influenced the tourism industry's development in Mysore Division.
