Abstract

Historians have often been criticized for their indifferent attitude towards the popular domain and their negligence of vernacular sources. This paper aims to reflect on the criticism received by historians for the nature of methodology within the boundaries of institutions that secluded academic history from the popular domain. Consequently, a chasm was drawn between academia and popular domain.
