Women empowerment is a concept which was highlighted in last three or four decades. Women empowerment can be defined as allowing the women to take their own decisions and accepting them as correct. By the change of time role of women has also been changed and in the modern society importance and need of women outside the homes has been accepted by the people. By the changing role of women, incidents of harassment such as rape, sexual harassment at work place, domestic violence etc has also increased. To protect the women from such harassment and empowering them judiciary played important role in the area of strengthening the women through the guidelines issued by the apex court in various judgments
