Abstract

The following research paper is based on a religious shrine of Lord Vishnu and Devi Laxmi, well known as Laxmi Narayan Temple Chanour, situated in Tehsil Dehra, Distt. Kangra. Chanour is situated at a latitude 32.1586 and longitude 75.7586. At an elevation of 478 meters. It is situated on Dhaliara-Dadasiba road. In this study, I shall attempt to analyze the observations related to temple and protected forest area. Research is based on interviews and observations analyzed during my visit to the temple .
