Abstract

In the last two decades, women-owned businesses in India have gained momentum. The emergence and growth of women-owned businesses have contributed greatly to India's economic growth and development. Women entrepreneurs have not only contributed to economic development but have also provided employment opportunities, especially for job seekers. However, it should be kept in mind that women entrepreneurs especially face a lot of hurdles and problems in fund creation. A woman entrepreneur should have a good source of knowledge regarding finance. Finance is the backbone of any firm, and the lack of adequate financial support makes it difficult to carry on business activities. The researchers focused on the role and contribution of banks in promoting women entrepreneurs.
