Despite the abundance of natural resources, Jharkhand is still the second most poor state of our country. Poverty is like a disease for this state which is mostly populated by tribals and scheduled tribes. Even after so many years of formation of the state there is, as such, not much development as projected. The main aim of the research paper is to find out the impact of the poverty alleviation programs and allocation of state budget in this aspect.
