Abstract

Shopping bag is one of the old and traditional medium for the promotion of brands. The journey of shopping bags started with their utility as a means to carry purchased products and later became a medium of promotion when imprinted with names and logos. Shopping bags have changed dramatically during the last two centuries. Material and graphic changes were brought about by technological advancements.The newer versions of cheaper plastic bags were now full of interesting visuals, which boosted their usage but harmed the environment. However, ecological concerns paved the way for a new sustainability trend among brand owners and consumers. With the assistance of new concepts and creative visuals, the interactive carry bags once again played a central role of promotion with new thoughts for green planet initiatives.
