In the present scenario, digital payment system plays a major role in online shopping. Different modes of digital payment were utilized for the convenient shopping by the consumers. The present study was conducted to excerpt the customers’ insight with regard to the digital payment mode. For the purpose of the study, the data was collected from 150 respondents from Vellore City. Frequency analysis and percentage analysis were made on the collected data to understand the Customers’ insight towards Digital payment mode. The result of the study enunciated that majority of the customers prefer to utilize the various digital payment methods available and they also agree that they rely on these methods for making online payment. The study concludes that the deployment of technology for digital payments is recommended by the Customers thereby we could achieve the motive of cashless economy. The research work also emphasis that the success of the e-commerce payment system depends upon the customer preferences.
