Investment in Stock Market earns investors some return with some levels of risks too. Risk is an uncertainty that matters which implies that risk could have positive and/or negative effect on one or more investment objectives. The risk perception of different individual investors is different and thus has a significant impact on their asset allocation. Asset Allocation is optimal if it suits the investors’ preferences and his risk taking capacity so that he holds on to his investment strategy over a period of time. Investment decision optimum for one investor may not be suitable for another investor as they differ in characteristics due to several demographic factors. Every investor has its own investment objectives, risk tolerance level and other constraints.
