Abstract
About 16.2% of Indians are members of the Scheduled Castes. In India, this socioeconomic group is most affected and destitute. The bulk of SC people reside in the five Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh.
