Abstract
The study of Mathematics appears to show down after the onslaught of the Islamicinvasions and the conversion of collegesand Universities tomadrasahs. This was also the time when mathematical texts wereincreasingbeing translatedinto Arabic andPersian.The paper is therefore addressed totheintroduction of Decimalsystem of Harappa ; Mathematical activity in Vedic Period, Panini and Scientific Notation, IndianNumeral system, Importance of Astronomy, Applied Mathematics aswell as Philosophy and Mathematics.
