Abstract

The need for digitization globally has connected the world incessantly beyond comprehension Almost all the Western countries have transformed their trade and infrastructure reforms into a digital force. This has caused the developing nations to follow the technological forces in all sectors of global trade. Whether documentation or shipping or any logistical need, all the foreign trade process has been brought under the Technological purview and digital transformation era. Digital technology has not only saved time for business transactions but also cost and environmental wastage. The article will focus on the development of digital reforms in the foreign trade sector of India particularly the EDI initiative and discuss how it has transformed Indian exports into a digital zone for a speedy global connectivity benefitting the economy as a whole
