Abstract

This paper discuss the inter-relationship between the agricultural and industrial growth process after India’s Independence. It discusses about growth in three decades after Independence and how agricultural output influences growth in industrial production. The decade and a half after 1965 is discussed in length as it shows a sudden deceleration in growth which was followed by stagnation.
