Abstract

The success of business depends highly on the efficiency of the entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship is a skill that helps the entrepreneur to carry out the business functions smoothly. It highly depends on the competency of the entrepreneur for achieving long-run goals of the business. Women entrepreneurs are increasing in an increasing trend. They are equally capable and equipped to run any business organization as compared to male entrepreneurs. Therefore, many government organizations and banks have come forward to render help to these entrepreneurs for financial assistance. The paper concentrates and revolves around in measuring the various factors for understanding the competency of women entrepreneurs. The study was conducted for a sample of 650 women entrepreneurs in Salem district, Tamil Nadu (India). Based on the study various findings are made. The researcher believes that this paper would be of great help in providing additional knowledge for those who would like to specialize on the same.
