Abstract: The Indian Pharma market is one of the largest pharma market in terms of Volume, currently it stands 3rd largest in terms of volume and 13th in terms of value. It contributes almost of 20 percent of global production .India is known to be largest supplier or provider of Generic drugs globally Indian Generics accounting for 20 percent of global exports in terms of volume.in this regard it becomes necessary to make study on Indianpharmaceuticalcompanies, so this paper mainly focus on analysis of profitability of selected pharmaceutical companies in India during the period 2013 -2017. The tools used for analysis are mean, standard deviation, coefficient of variation and compound annual growth rate, and the study found that Lupin the profitability position as shown satisfactory when compares to other companies. The compound annual growth rate as shown satisfactory in case of Dr.Reddy’s while compare to other companies.
